On a normal day 4 years ago, my husband Michael and I realized we weren’t living the life we wanted to live. We were living a boring life! So, on a hot weekend in July, we started a new life.

Precious time together. It does become a workable, but challenging thing to accomplish when you have a little one(s). Since my daughter has turned into a non-stop chatter-box (which we don’t mind given the struggles to get her to talk!), we find the best times are in the evening after she’s in bed or when grandma is watching her while we drive to an appointment. A lot of good conversation can come out of a long car drive.

Totally agree that lots of good talking can get done in the car.
My husband and I used to do the same thing when our kids were small. We got to be together and talk uninterrupted, as well as getting a little fresh air and exercise for us and our children. We were in NJ yesterday for my father in law’s funeral and the boys came up for the weekend so today was spent with them before they both just left. I will go and do my grocery shopping for the week now and do all my meal prep for the week as well. Have a beautiful rest of your weekend!
