    Have I refocused things?
    Oh yes.

When I first bought danhefferan.com, My thought was that i was going to learn to build worldclass websites, and as I learned, I would share what I was learning. Then I started publishing book reviews, and I had a couple extra things I had added to the site.

As my web design learning slowed down, I stopped posting about that, and began to focus on the book reviews and my brilliant views on the world– These posts were more like ” Say-these-things-that-people-need-to-hear-but-in-reality-i’m-just-saying-the-words-i-need-to-hear”

Recently, I decided I didn’t feel that my posts were really adding anything special for the world. So, the posting has essentially halted. and the rebirth is on the way.

Strangely enough, the new direction is rooted in design –both the web and other fun things.  🙂

      Hahaa – cool Dan,
Fun to hear a little piece of your journey. So, I guess you have come full circle 🙂 hmmm, very interesting!!

You’ve come full circle. Hey, well now you know. That’s what’s so great about just getting started with something like blogging.

I think I needed some time to be philosophical and just simply learn what I was doing.

turns out i’m not the most inspired how-to blogger out there,  though i have some ideas for some tutorials in the future 🙂

Yeah, sometimes I just need time to learn what the heck I’m doing as well!
Do you feel like you’re zeroing in on your preferred writing/communication style?

I am rolling a few things around in my head and 2013 may just bring some changes, although I haven’t really gotten anything clearly set in my mind…yet!

Awesome Ann, I’m excited to hear what you got rollin around 😉

You two are always a jolly crew!  Refocusing is an excellent byproduct of “getting started”, you know.  I remember wanting to write a blog to take some action on my writing and having no idea what to write on.  Once I decided to write on being a father, it’s kind of gone all over the place.  I started to make it kind of site about having a child on the autism spectrum, but it’s not really gone there.  SO – to answer your question, yes, I am continually looking for threads and themes that I would like to focus in on.  That only makes sense.  You’re about a year into your blog, you’ve stayed consistent and now it’s time for the next “step”.  Look forward to see where you both go.

Thanks, Michael! @danhefferan:disqus  commented about how his journey with blogging took him full circle. He thought he was going to go one direction, then went another, and is now coming back to his original idea. All because he started.

That’s what’s so great about just getting started with something like blogging.

Keep up the great stuff at http://www.fatherofone.com/ I enjoy being part of your journey.

Refocusing is awesome! It gives renewed freshness to everything we’re doing. It’s a sign that we’re developing into something better than we were. It means we’re growing, and the old ways can’t contain us. I’m always searching for a better way to deliver “me” and my “message”… Or just a better way all together. Keep going! you two are awesome, and have been at it strong and I think your tide is building for one amazing surf!

Thanks so much Rob! Truly appreciate that!
Waaahoooo! Throwing out the old ways!!!
I like how you said you constantly search for a better way to deliver “you” and your “message!” That is a great way to phrase it.

You bet, Claudia! It’s the best way to keep growing! Just keep seeking the better way; keep increasing. 🙂
