I agree Michael – we will NEVER have it all figured out!!  God tells us in scripture that He will give us light for each step – we’ll never see the entire staircase all at once – but stepping out in faith and take each step will lead us to the next and the next.  Thank you for the reminder!!  The way I do this is just that – I pray and ask for guidance and then I trust that when I have a step to take – I take it believing God has answered.  As I do that, the next becomes clear and I move forward.  Sometimes that happens pretty quickly and easily and sometimes not so much!  But He never lets me down.  Hope Claudia got some much needed sleep (I remember those days!).

Thanks, Ann! Great reminder that God gives us light for each step. I remember someone saying that if a car leaves from LA to go to NYC, at night the headlights will only shine so far ahead. However, as the car progresses, the light progresses as well and thus they make it to NYC, one step at a time.

The “I” in me loves the adventure of not knowing what is coming next. The “C” in me keeps freaking out saying “WAIT! Stop! No-no-no-no! You can’t move forward until you have a plan. It’s been interesting dealing with this inner battle.

I continue to investigate and discover as I take steps forward. Sometimes I’m annoyed that I haven’t “arrived” yet, I mean, c’mon, it’s been a WHOLE YEAR since I started. I should be completely established, with a huge tribe and lots of money rolling in by now. 😉

When I want to give up, I think back to where I was a year ago and realize “I can’t stop now. I’ve tasted too much good.” So, I contigue to dig and discover and learn and dig some more. I’m thankful for the reminder that I’m never going to have it all figured out.

Thanks for the input, Alana, and for sharing!

I too sometimes find myself thinking that I should have it all figured out. It’s a little crazy though when I step back and realize that many of the things I’m trying to do now I haven’t been working on much more than a year.

I then realize how narrow-minded it is to think that way and remember that it’s a process and I don’t think I’ll ever really “arrive.” There’s always more to learn!

I am a planner as well, Michael.   I do that for my job on a daily basis – help others get ready for upcoming projects and work, making sure everything is in place when the start date arrives.  It drives me nuts when I can’t get all the information, confirmations for various peoples, etc – but business is like that I’ve realized, you just have to roll with it sometimes and be flexible.  Time after time, I’ve noticed it always works out – somehow!

Michael, that sort of thing can drive me nuts too, Michael! But I’ve been flexing my flexibility and faith muscles and things have been holding together pretty well. Actually, very well and often times in spite of me.
