This evening I took a walk in the park with Jude. We walked and talked and he swung his chubby little legs over the edge of the stroller. Most enchanting.
As we walked through the alley way back towards our house, I heard singing.
The singing drew me closer and I realized it was coming from a church just down the street from our house. That was it, my curiosity was peaked, I had to go in and listen to the music!
I stood outside the red doors of the church envisioning Jude and I walking in on who knows what and my head made up all sorts of scenarios as to why it would be uncomfortable and I shouldn’t go in. This made me want to go in all the more. I just needed to know what would happen – maybe something cool, maybe nothing at all.
I walked in and took this video in the foyer. We then entered the sanctuary and Jude and I basked in the music. It felt great to step into the unknown.

This video is part of the I Don’t Care Project.
We’ve realized how much what we do, say, and the decisions we make are influenced by what others may think.
The I Don’t Care Project is our way of counteracting that. We intentionally put ourselves in“uncomfortable situations” in hopes of overcoming this fear. These “uncomfortable situations” may include things like doing something other than what is normal and expected or voicing our opinions and beliefs more often.

Claudia, I love this project. Thanks for the video and showing us how your are following your thought. Blessings, @missioncoach
My pleasure Rob! It really has been fun… in a heart pumping, drenched with sweat sort of way… But it has been sooooo incredibly freeing as well!!
Claudia – awesome that you forced yourself to get out of your comfort zone. And to think you actually enjoyed the experience….novel thought! -:)
Novel, I know Cindy! 😉
Fear is a powerful intimidator. Each time I do an IDC however I find that it’s voice gets smaller and smaller and I become more and more excited to try more. 😉 A bit addictive – hee-he
You are such a courageous and adventurous person – I so admire that!!
hahahaha Ann,
I am blessed that you say that… I however find myself not to be very courageous, just very curious 😉 I am praying for more courage however and each time I do something that I fear, I do become more and more courageous!
Cool, Claudia! I was hoping to see some singing in the video too…:)
Reminds me of when my brother, mom and I were staying at a hotel out of town and some clue or organization had a wine/cheese tasting there. We were there with nothing to do, so we said what the hay and joined ’em! I don’t remember any strange looks…..
maybe I should have just started singing… oh boy, awkward!
