We recently mentioned in our Sunday video that we had some awesome people stop by to do an interview with us on their way to NYC.
What we didn’t mention is that they brought along an artist/visionary named Randall Gingerich to draw us a picture. While we told our story, he sat and listened and drew a picture, a representation of our lives as he saw and hear it.
It really meant a lot to us. Randall’s gift was a great reminder that we all have different gifts and skills and there is no end to the ways in which they can be used.
So, if you have a dream of doing something, don’t let people’s opinion sway you. I have heard so many people say things like, “I would love to do ____________, but I can’t make any money doing that. So, I’m going to school to be ____________.”
That is baloney! There are thousands of ways to make money if you are willing to think creatively how to do it.
There are hundreds of different ways to make your idea profitable! If you are at a loss for ideas read this! Or, this. Or go here, or here for ideas.
So, thanks to Randall! We now have a beautiful picture/vision to hold before us as we continue our exciting journey. Randall, you are talented beyond words!
Question: Have you ever given up on a dream because it wasn’t “practical?”
That’s an awesome picture guys. Does the sign at the top say beyond? I can’t quite make it out.
There’s been a few dreams that I’ve given up on because those around me told me it wasn’t practical. Looking back, I regret it but have moved on from where I was at that point. There’s plenty of new dreams to chase after now.
I’m pretty sure it says Beyond.
That it does Brent. Earlier today I wasn’t able to click on the image to increase the size. Just tried it and BOOM! Up came the larger image.
hahaa I love that word – BOOM!
Haha, glad it worked for you, Joe. I changed that later after I first read your comment. Thanks for the heads up!
Alright, so I wasn’t crazy or too tired. It really wouldn’t expand.
I was just playing jedi mind tricks on you.
Same Joe!
No more of that kind of living though – onward and upward!
oh good, I see you saw that it does say beyond!
“To Infinity and Beyond!!!” – Buzz Lightyear
I’m with Joe – what’s at the top of the mountain? Looks like “Beyond”.
What dreams have I given up on? You know, I’m not sure I have any I’ve given up on. I think my dream is to help others find their dreams…my wife and daughter to start with. They are all within my reach. I love to climb mountains… 😉
Michael, I was able to click on the image and am sure it says Beyond.
That is awesome Michael. You have encouraged us, so I have no doubt that you are doing the same with your wife and daughter!
That is a really cool drawing!
I know right John? He did an amazing job… and what is even more amazing is that he thought it up and drew it all during our interview after having just met us a couple minutes before!
That is so awesome! That picture is just amazing – he truly is very talented and what a beautiful representation of your amazing journey together as a family. It’s like the very best vision board ever! Powerful and as always, Claudia your post is inspiring. You always get me going!
He is Ann! I wish you could see his other drawings! He is working on getting a website up…
What was amazing to me was how quickly he drew it! It is a wonderful vision board! 😉
Haha glad I could help Ann! 😉
what amazing talent!
True fact there Jason!
That is an awesome illustration. Our dreams can definitely seem like a mountain climb but I like how in the picture Michael is pointing to the top. We always have to be focused on what our goal is.
I like that too Brent! It’s like he is saying, “up there, can you see it… that’s where we are headed!” 😉
Hey, your site is looking great btw! You got that up and running quickly! It looks like you are posting every day… how is it working for you?
Incredible! I love seeing creativity like that, and the way he drew it is very meaningful… Amazing…
I heard a lot of great dreams the other night at a workshop, but to many of them they seemed impractical… Boy did they hear some good news from me! 🙂
Oh wow, that is awesome Rob, I bet they left feeling about 6 inches taller 🙂 Was it a workshop you held?
I hope they did! 🙂 It sure felt like it… Great crowd, and really ready to make things happen… It was a local church that called me in to help support and provide guidance for their workshop. It was a lot of fun! 🙂
Brent,
Just found this! For some reason it went into spam :-/
So cool that you are having so much fun!!
Hmmm, yea, I can imagine those would definitely prove to be roadblocks for a sports site. I know Michael said Pat Flynn went through that with his first blog awhile back.
Ann Musico who commented just a bit below… I know her son does a sports blog. It is with baseball but I think he writes for the team somehow… you could ask her…
