Question: Have you taken the time to develop a vision for your life? How did it help?
I have – although it has changed over the years and is always evolving. I always saw myself as a mom. Even when it looked like I would never be married much less a mother. But that picture on the inside of me wouldn’t go away and I’m grateful beyond words that God gave me that desire of my heart. The vision right now is still being refined. It’s kind of my ‘act 2’ and I’m not totally clear on how it will finally look but I’m working toward what I see right now.
That’s great, Ann. I think it’s neat how you have excitement and energy for all the things you’re doing. You’re going to crush it here in act 2!
Vision has helped me tremendously. My life has never been the same since I started intentionally visioning what I want my life to look like. Several years ago, I was sitting down with one of my co-workers on business in Puerto Rico, and he asked me the question, “What do you vision for yourself in five years?”… This stumped me, but I still spouted off some mediocre answer in a joking kind of way. I’ll never forget that. Having vision has added tons of coal to my fire within. I know what I want in life, and it inspires daily to move in that direction.
Rob,
I’ve spouted off those same mediocre answers to those questions in the past as well. Not anymore! I can see it in your life that you know what you want and you’re inspired to go after it. You’re going to get there! Actually, guess you already are there if success is the “progressive realization of worthwhile goals.”
Amen to that! We are brother… “Success is definitely the Progressive Realization of Worthwhile Goals”…
Vision has given me drive and enthusiasm. Thanks for the quote. Blessings, Rob
