You two are not awkward – just adorable! I remember as if it was yesterday the first time I ever left my oldest son Chris with our neighbor so we could go to my husband’s boss’s wedding. He was only about 3 or 4 months old and being nursed – so I couldn’t be away too long but that was probably one of the hardest things I ever had to do to that point! I’m glad you guys have family close by and can take some time periodically – it’s healthy for you and for him.
Ann, I think it’s healthy for all involved as well. It was great to have Claudia’s mom help out like this. She does great with him.
I thinks it’s harder for the moms to start leaving their child with someone else. I guess it’s that momma bear instinct.
It’s great to watch the two of you; you are such a cute couple. -:) I’m also happy to see that you had some Michael and Claudia time! Even though letting go was a little bit difficult, it’s one of the best things you can do for yourselves as a married couple. It’s also amazing how refreshed you end up feeling when you have time to nurture the other important things in your life.
Absolutely, Cindy. Can’t neglect the marriage relationship taking care of the kids. We want to raise our children out of the strength of our relationship. That’s first priority.

Glad you could get away, just the two of you. It makes it even better when family is nearby, because at least in our case they are always willing to babysit. Hope you have a great week ahead!
Thanks, Brent. Yes, we are blessed to have great family nearby! Same to you. Let’s make it a great one!

“Re-clarify our lives”… yeah, no kidding. About every 3 or 4 weeks now! 🙂
I’m trying to start my 2nd podcast. I’ve been sitting on it since last October. Wow. I did open up a LibSyn account, so I’ve been uploading content.
Jason,
Hey, I think the more frequent, the better.
Which podcast is this? I know you started the photography podcast.

Hi Michael and Claudia. I have an idea for a podcast about Practical Discipling of children. Spiritual training at home basically. I want to talk to real parents and not just “Authors” and “professionals” like many radio shows that I’ve heard.
Very cool, Jason. Sounds like a good USP! It’d be a “your story” in a sense.

Yes, in a sense. I’m still trying to figure out whether I’d do a bunch of recordings and then group segments into “themes”, or just do each family as a different story. I think that the more variety, the better. If I get enough responses in the next week, I’ll ‘slowly’ move forward. 🙂

Definitely Michael – I agree.

That kind of time together really has to be planned and fought for! Way to make it happen. Even a couple of hours can be replenishing.
Absolutely, Michael. You have to work with what you have. Thanks for the input!
You two are funny! Thanks for the laugh!
Thomas,
Glad we gave you a laugh! 🙂
