Question: What would your life be like if you lived by that quote?
If we want to live a life that’s filled with purpose, meaning, and passion, we need to be intentional about the questions we’re asking ourselves. It takes thinking ahead, a little bit of planning, and a lot of execution to get to where you want to be.

This really was evident for me when I finally decided to no longer pursue the purchase of a business. I had been working towards this for four years and it was a long, frustrating process. My wife, Claudia, and I had put our lives on hold waiting for the seller to finally go through with it.
Finally, we started to think about what we really wanted in life and we began to reconsider. We realized there was a ton of risk involved and that it really wasn’t what we wanted anyways. We felt like we had wasted four years of our lives waiting for someone else to make a decision.
Something I’ve realized over the past year since Claudia and I really started waking up and living more intentionally is the importance of connecting with like-minded people.

NYC Trip
I’ve experienced this when I went to Colorado last fall for a Free Agent Academy event, the time Claudia and I met up with strangers in Virginia we met on Facebook, and when I went to New York City a few weeks ago to meet my friends Justin Lukasavige and Andy Traub to name a few.
In addition, we leave on Sunday to drive to a small town in western Pennsylvania for a meetup with some friends whom we met over the past year online. These are other bloggers and entrepreneurs doing some really amazing things!
We blog everyday. We started with the goal of of blogging for 365 days straight not knowing where it would lead.

It has now turned into a passion! Blogging has quickly wiggled it’s way deep into our beings, and we are most gladly hooked!
Some of our posts are long, some are short. Some are written late at night, some early in the morning. We haven’t hit our true stride yet, but we are consistent. Consistency helps propel us forward because by it we gain momentum.
I saw a documentary this evening, on wolverines. Yes, wolverines.
These animals are so radically awesome, I thought I needed to write a post about them! Trust me, if your mind is starting to wander already, there is something to be learned here, so stick with me!

Basically until today the only wolverine I had ever really heard of was from X-men. Now I know why they named an action figure after this crazy animal.
Here are 5 cool wolverine features that I could use more of in my own life.
Some days I feel like crap. I question everything I’m doing from the business I started, how I’m spending my time, and even the things I write about on this blog.

I can feel the self-doubt, indecision, and paralysis setting in and it seems everything I do to get back on track doesn’t work. My feelings want to overrun my day and keep me from getting anything productive accomplished.

Question: Does what you’re doing make you fearful?
My tooth just broke. You know the saying, “When it rains, it pours?” Well I’m here to say, that’s crap!

My family
I think when it rains, you grow. Therefore, I will grow, which it exciting. Not that my tooth broke, but that I get the chance to grow.
I’ve hit quite a few hurdles in my quest for intentional living and entrepreneurship, and each time a hardship comes, immediate feelings of discouragement come knocking at my door. Everyday I find myself at a crossroad. Honestly, all of us do. We can either open the door to the discouragement that constantly knocks or we can lock the door, pull the shades, and run the other way!
As I stood in the kitchen with a crying baby, tears started to stream down my face. I was at a loss; I didn’t know what was wrong, “Ahhhh, just stop crying!” I had tried the usual holding and nursing and napping and nursing and holding. You get the picture, and nothing was working.

Jude enjoying the sunshine
Michael appeared in the kitchen doorway and witnessed Jude and I in an awful state. Me pacing, Jude crying. He evaluated the situation and realized something needed to be done. Quick as a wink, he swept Jude up off the floor and grabbed a blanket and the basket of Jude’s toys and disappeared outside.
