Well, it’s official. Today marks the one year anniversary of rise365! This past year has been a blast and so much more than Claudia and I had ever expected.
We want to give a big shoot out to you, our reader, for joining us here on this journey of escaping normal and living an extraordinary life! Your support and encouragement has been the fuel for us as we made some big changes over the past year.
And also, I know you are making big changes in your life too. It is our hope that we’ve been able to provide you with a little hope and encouragement in return for all you’ve given to us.
We have a few changes up our sleeves that we’ll be rolling out as we go along. But, here’s what will be changing immediately.
What’s changing
– New posting schedule We’re changing our posting schedule to two times per week, every Monday and Thursday. However, for this week, this will be the final post. (Wow, this will feel weird for us!) The Monday/Thursday schedule will start next week.
Yep, we have completed our ambitious (maybe a little crazy) goal of posting 365 days straight! While posting this often has been fun, the reduced schedule will free up some time to work on different rise365 projects we’ve been dreaming about.
– Fewer videos With only two posts per week, we’re discontinuing the Video Sunday series to focus more on writing. We will include videos now and then, but not every week as we have been.
– No more Lighter Side posts Again, with fewer posts, we’re discontinuing the Lighter Side posts to focus more on posts with more content.
– The IDC project We are presently working on reconfiguring the IDC project. And are excited about the new direction it will take. Stay posted!
What’s not changing
– We’re still going to be here We’re not going away now that our 365 days of posting is completed. Heck no! We’re having too much fun with this!
– Same focus A while back, we refocused rise365 to what it is today. This is going to remain the same. It’s still about escaping normal, regaining your fizz, and recreating the way you make a living.
– Still a dynamic duo Claudia and I will still both be equally involved with rise365 and both continue to write.
That’s some of what to expect for now. Thanks again for joining us on this journey of escaping normal, regaining our fizz, and recreating the way we make a living!
Question: How long have you been a reader of rise365 and how did you first hear of the site?
p.s. If you haven’t already, we would love your input in our reader survey!
Congratulations on hitting the year mark! That takes effort to publish everyday.
I’ve been a reader of Rise365 for at least a couple of months. Not sure how long officially. Originally heard about you guys from Kevin Miller and FAA.
Thanks for all the support, Joe! It’s been great connecting over the past little while.
Congratulations on one year guys! I am blown away by your consistency to post 365 straight days.
Hey thanks, Jon. Yeah, posting for 365 days straight was pretty ambitious, but there’s a ton you can learn from doing it! Thanks for all the support!
Very happy the dynamic duo will still be posting and encouraging – I look forward to that! I am pretty sure I have been a reader of 365 Rise since the very beginning of this year when I was invited to join the Mastermind group! I’ve loved getting to know you both and Jude and look forward to your next chapter!
Awesome, Ann. We’ve really enjoyed getting to know you too and connecting through our different blogs. Thanks for your support and encouragement!
Congratulations! Posting every day for a year was a lofty goal but you met it with what seemed to be great ease. Most would have slacked up after a time. I have loved getting to know you through your posts and look forward to seeing what this next year brings.
Thanks, Donna! By the way, the dress form finally sold. A dad bought it for his daughter who’s starting fashion school!
WOW! This is an amazing accomplishment – providing content for every day of the week is A LOT harder than it seems – even more than I can imagine myself! (I sometimes struggle with just 2 days per week). I’m so proud of you both for completing your goal.
I think I first heard of you through Ivan Bickett – and I think I started following you within 2-3 weeks of you beginning rise365. I remember you popping up all the sudden and thinking, ‘Hey, hey! Who are THESE people!’ I love that we have gotten to know each other better this year and I look forward to getting to know you more this year! 🙂
Alana,
It made a big difference that Claudia and I were doing it together. The common interest was huge and it meant we were sharing the writing as well. But, it’d be lying if I said it wasn’t challenging at times. 🙂
We’re looking forward to getting to know ou and Josh better as well! Which reminds me. I hope to launch our project next week! I’ll be working on it some towards to end of the week. Keep you posted! (think I have everything I need from you)
Cool! Yes, keep me posted. 🙂
It is great that you and Claudia has found this common interest. I can see how it would draw you closer together!
Alana,
I remember that day… the day Ivan said, “hey, you guys need to connect with Josh and Alana…” and the rest is history 😉
haha. agreed!
Very cool! So excited for you guys… Happy rise365 Birthday!!! Knowing you guys has really be inspirational for me and just watching you grow. I wish you continued happiness and a prosperous journey down the road, and may 2013 be a powerful fruitful evidence of all this amazing preparation of greatness…. You guys are the best! Thanks for being there…
Awesome, Rob. Thanks! Wising you all the best as well. Keep making it happen!
Happy birthday, and congratulations to you both! As you know, I’ve been a reader since day one. I haven’t read every single post, but I’ve read many of them. It’s just been so neat to see where you guys have come from and where you are now. You have both grown tremendously, and I believe helped to keep many others that are a part of this community encouraged and growing. I’m looking forward to what you all have to share in the future!
Well thanks, Ryan! And thanks for your friendship. I always look forward to our phone conversations!
Autumn Reese still holding out?! How’s Ashley holding up?
You’re welcome! I definitely look forward to talking when we do, as well! They’re both holding on still. Obviously Ashley is the more impatient of the two, though. 🙂
Very impressive you two!
I’ve been aware of Rise365 for a while but only started interacting during the last few months. It wasn’t until a week ago that I realized what Rise365 meant (I’m slow, don’t judge the simple!).
I look forward to reading your stuff moving forward!
Anyway, I’m sorry that you haven’t had my meaningless chatter over the last year but I promise to make up for it in the future. If that doesn’t make you anxious there really is no hope for any of us! 😉
James,
Hahaa! Your not slow, I think many who joined mid way would not have known what our name stood for. The cool thing is it holds true beyond the one year and is fully representative of an intentional/purpose filled life which is our constant goal!
Thanks for being part of the conversation here, always enjoy hearing your thoughts! 🙂
Thank you guys for what you do, Congratulations !
Thanks, Kevin!
Congrats on the 1 year anniversary! It’s good that you know how to tweak a goal. Two posts a week can still make a huge impact. I recall that Michael Hyatt decided to slow down the number of posts in a week and the length of certain posts and found he actually had more people reading in the process.
I’m sure I heard of Rise365 in the beginning via FAA…maybe a Kevin Gainey post (who i was aware of through Ivan Bickett) that linked to a Justin Lukasaviage post, which went to your post (whew!)….then getting to know you better via the Mastermind group. So nice to know you both – you are fine examples of what the human race can attain to become…:)
Hey thanks Michael!
Wow, that was a round about way of finding us, but either way it sure has been a pleasure getting to know you! Have greatly enjoyed your posts and your comments are always a huge blessing to both of us!!
Here’s to many more 😉
