We had another exciting month and are now into the final third of the summer. We continue to push forward towards the dreams and the vision we have for our future! I trust you are doing the same.
Some of what we’ve been up to:
– New video project We started working with Matt Horwitz on a cool rise365 video project. You’ll be hearing more about this later.
– Refocused rise365 Time spent refocusing rise365! (more info soon, I promise)
– Date nights It’s our goal to have a weekly date night. We went 2 for 4 this month which was awesome! (Way better than going 0fer!)
– Business growth We had 5 new students sign up with Soundboard Music School. Incredible!
– New op-in form You’ll notice now at the bottom of each post, there’s a box to sign up for updates via email. This is a great way to make sure you don’t miss a thing, so check it out below on this post!
On The Blog
This will give you an idea into the behind the scenes of rise365. It’s been an interesting month statistically. Uniques and new visitors were up, while total visits were down.
This is because, for the majority of the month of June, we were facilitating the 30 Day Focus Challenge. This brought a group of people to the site everyday to interact in a forum as we worked together on our specific goals.
- Unique visitors +5%
- Total visits -23% (+30% in June, so still up from May!)
- Search engine traffic (Held steady)
- New Visitors +5%

Question: What were you up to this past month? If you blog, what was your top post (please include a link!)?
Glad to see you got the opt-in box working for the site Michael. I think you’ll see great success with it. It also looks great!
There was lots of stuff going on in the Lalonde world this past July. Lots of work and lots of play. Experienced my first whitewater rafting trip, traversed the world of fallen trees and power outages, stood up for a great friend at his wedding, and much much more.
My top post for the month was 10 Bad Leadership Traits You Need To Avoid. Lots of great interaction and connections formed.
Awesome, Joe! Thanks for the update – and for helping me with the opt-in box!
I went white water rafting once and loved it. I’ll have to go again. Going to check out that post too. I missed that one.
I was without my computer and files for most of the month of July but got it back – finally! – and spent yesterday getting my desktop organized the way I need it. Today I plan to spend the day cleaning out files and reorganizing my physical files, etc. so I can be more organized and move forward more efficiently! By the way, I’ve enjoyed every single post!
Ann, thanks! That means a lot.
I can’t imagine running 3 blogs plus an online business without a computer! I’m sure you’re glad to have that back!
Makes me think of when our only computer crashed 3 days after we launched this site! Not fun. We had to write an number of our posts on our iPhones.
I’m excited to have found this blog and to have connected with you guys online. Keep up the great work!
Thanks, Ryan! I appreciate that. Glad to have connected as well.
Michael and Claudia – love how you guys are growing and moving forward. It’s exciting to watch!
I’m watching something awesome unfold in my life that I’ve been nurturing for for quite awhile. That’s the very cool thing that is happening. I don’t have a blog to share, but an interview I did last Friday. It will turn into a blog post at some point. It pretty well sums up the past three years! -:) Here is the link: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/purposeful-pathway-radio/2012/07/27/cindy-hirch-shares-hope-on-purposeful-pathway-radio
Thanks so much Cindy!
Wow, that is awesome that you were able to share your story in that way! What a powerful story you have Cindy!!!
I have seen her around before, was she on 48 days.net??
Thank you Claudia. Caroline is on 48Days, that is where I first met her. But I believe the majority of her content is on Facebook.
I thought I remembered her from 48 days! So, how did you enjoy being on a podcast??
Actually I’ve done several already with a variety of people over the past year +. I’m getting a little more comfortable with each one I do and enjoying them more. -:) I was so nervous the first couple of times.
haha I bet! That is cool that you have been able to do several of them Cindy! Excited for you!
Congrats on five new students last month at Soundboard, that’s awesome! I love keeping up with journey here. I would like to see some new IDC projects though! 🙂
Hey thanks, Brent! New IDCs is a great point. Got to get on that!
Great job on putting this update together, and to all great successes that are present… You’re new projects, the biz growth with 5 new students, the top contributors, and top posts! Awesome self- accountability and shouts out to everyone else. You both are awesome!
As you know I was away last month, so I’m picking back up now, and my top post came out this week actually; here’s the link:

Thanks Rob!
Really appreciate that!!
Are you getting back into the swing of things??
Workin’ on it! LOL… I am ALMOST there! =)
July was spent doing much less writing and a lot of time with my mom and dad due to his surgery. Was nice to be able to spend several weeks with them, especially when I had gotten so “busy” the past year and was only rarely making the trip. I haven’t checked my blog stats recently, but they seem to stay “steady” in the sub-50 subscribers and followers without much fluctuation from there.
Michael, I’m glad you were able to spend time with family. I wish it was for a more joyous occasion though.
